Award-winning soprano Michelle Fiore is an active and versatile performer in the Coachella Valley music community. She was honored with the 2019 Desert Theater League Award for Outstanding Supporting Female Performer – Cabaret/Revue for her portrayal of Carlotta in Phantom of the Opera, and was named Audience Favorite and Second Place Winner in the 2018 McCallum Theatre Open Call Talent Competition. Ms. Fiore appeared in Transformance Ritual and Blessing, an improvisational performance experience with the late, esteemed artist Simeon Den and Tim McLaughlin for the Artists Center at the Galen, and continues to develop innovative and inspiring projects.

 

Ms. Fiore’s performance career spans genres from Opera to Broadway. She is a founding member of Coachella Valley Classical Voices (CVCV) and serves as the Soloist for The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Palm Desert. She also sings with Choral Masterworks and Desert Outreach Synagogue, and has performed with numerous regional ensembles including St. John’s Festival Singers, Desert Chamber Friends, Modern Men, Desert Winds Freedom Band, Black Tie Opera, Melodiam, and the California Desert Chorale. Previously, she served as the Soloist for The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Palm Springs.Ms. Fiore has presented two sold-out concerts at the Coachella Valley Repertory Theatre and has appeared at prominent community events such as the Tour de Palm Springs, Hot Rodeo, and AmDocs: The American Documentary and Animation Film Festival. Deeply committed to giving back, she has lent her voice in support of charitable organizations including The Well in the Desert and Katherine Finchy Elementary School, among others.

 

A dedicated musician and educator, Ms. Fiore pursued her Artist Diploma at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, earned her Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music, and received her Bachelor of Music from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her operatic repertoire includes the Dew Fairy (Hansel and Gretel), Carlotta (Phantom of the Opera), Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute), and Soeur Constance (Dialogues of the Carmelites). Additional concert and stage credits include Lisaveta (A Month in the Country), La Fée (Cendrillon), The Goodwife (The Wise Women), and Beatriz (Christopher Columbus). Upcoming performances include the title role in a condensed version of Madame Butterfly in November 2025, the role of Hanna Glawari (The Merry Widow) in May 2026, and a concert with Kurt Jordan and friends at the newly reopened Plaza Theatre in June 2026.

 

Ms. Fiore has studied with distinguished teachers César Ulloa, Mignon Dunn, George Shirley, Cynthia Donnell, L. Wayne Batty, A. Louise Toppin, Donna Dease, and Eve Ann Eichhorn.

In addition to her musical career, Ms. Fiore is a devoted Special Education teacher at Katherine Finchy Elementary School in Palm Springs, California, where she finds daily inspiration in the creativity and spirit of her students.
